The “Repeater” is an animated short production that showcased at OFFF Dach’s creativity and design festival in Vienna. The theme of the 2021 festival was “misfits”. The production tells a story of a land where their habitants communicate in symbols through their one large eye. The ruling class of the land forces everyone to only use the square symbol. Our lead protagonist was banished for using a non-square symbol, but in banishment, found a group of Misfits in the wasteland each displaying their unique symbol and individuality.

My main task in this short production was to create the Misfits and fully capture each of their unique flair and personality. This was especially important so we can capture the contrast between the rigid and oppressive group and the individualistic and non-conforming Misfts.
